The Stegosaurus!

• Weighed about 4 tons
• Walnut-sized brain was just large enough to outwit its food (vegetation) and to run from carnivores
• Spiked tail is called a “thagomizer” after a Gary Larson “Far Side” cartoon
• Swallowed rocks to help it digest vegetation, or maybe because it had a walnut-size brain
• Most stegosaurus were in Asia, not North America, but we’re proud to have a state dinosaur regardless
